vsonix was founded in 2007 by a team of experienced researchers and developers of the Fraunhofer Society. Our longtime know-how includes the development of state-of-the-art technologies for the automated processing, annotation and distribution of text-, picture- and video-data as well as the conception and implementation of innovative applications within the field of interactive media.

We use our knowledge for the development of intelligent procedures and tools for the production of networked media-content and their meta-data. Our objective is to accelerate the work-processes within the media-production with our solutions, and to therefore be able to offer them at a lower price and more effective to content providers as publishers and universities.

With this, we address especially the production and distribution of interactive rich-media content on web-based and mobile platforms. Moreover we use meta-data based techniques to simplify the access to networked media content for users through intelligent search- and interaction-functionalities.

A result of our development is our vCast technology. It is an intergrated end-to-end solution for the recording, processing, annotation and distribution of web-based video content. The software enables the timely synchronised recording of camera pictures and other picture-data. Therefore it is perfectly suitable for a fast and reliable webcast production of talks, lectures and presentations. An essential advantage of our vCast technology lies within the automated indexing of the recorded data, which in our end application — the vCast Player — enables far reaching interaction- and search-possibilities, e.g. of presentational content.

As basis of our webcast service offer, vCast technology allows us a fast and reliable processing of the recorded video data from conferences, discussions, or lectures. Our webcast services are already being used by a large number of well-known customers, such as the Software AG, Georg Thieme Verlag or the IHK.
